Seller agreement
What we ask of shops on Bugufi, and what you can expect from us.
Who can sell
Any business or person allowed to trade in Rwanda: companies and brands, wholesalers, retailers, makers, farmers and cooperatives. You must have the right to sell what you list (for example as its maker, an authorised distributor, or a trader with a valid licence where one is required). We speak to every applicant before approving a shop.
Listings
- Use your own photos, or the brand's official ones, and describe items honestly, including size, condition, materials and any flaws.
- Keep stock up to date. If you're away, turn on holiday mode.
- No counterfeit, stolen, unsafe or illegal items.
Orders
- Confirm or cancel new orders within 48 hours; unconfirmed orders are cancelled automatically.
- Reply to buyer messages promptly. Your typical reply time is shown to buyers.
- Agree payment clearly in the order chat. Don't ask buyers to pay to a number other than your shop's.
- Deliver within the times in your delivery settings, or tell the buyer if something changes.
Problems and reviews
- When a buyer reports a problem, work with us to resolve it fairly: replace, repair or refund as appropriate.
- Don't pressure buyers about reviews or offer anything in exchange for them.
Suspension
We may suspend a shop that repeatedly misses orders, doesn't resolve reports, or breaks these rules. We'll tell you why, and you can reply to the note.
Fees
Selling on Bugufi is currently free. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before introducing any fee.
