Buyer protection
You pay the seller directly, so we work hard on the part we can control: who gets to sell, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Every shop is checked
Before a shop goes live, someone from Bugufi speaks to the seller and looks at their work. Shops that don't keep their promises are suspended.
Your order, step by step
- You confirm your email, so the seller knows the order is real and you get a private link to follow it.
- The shop has 48 hours to confirm. If it doesn't, the order is cancelled automatically and we email you.
- You can cancel yourself any time before the shop confirms, from your order page.
- You agree payment with the seller in the chat or by phone. Pay only once you're comfortable. For delivery, paying on arrival is common and fine.
If something goes wrong
Start by messaging the shop from your order page; most problems are sorted there. If they aren't, press Report a problem on the order page within 14 days of delivery (or of the expected delivery date).
- We reply within one working day and contact the shop.
- For items that didn't arrive, arrived damaged or aren't as described, we ask the shop to replace, repair or refund, depending on what you agreed and paid.
- Shops that don't cooperate are suspended, and we tell you what we did.
Because payments go directly to the seller, Bugufi can't reverse a payment itself. That's why we check shops before they sell and act quickly on reports.
Protect yourself
- Keep the conversation on your Bugufi order page, so we can see what was agreed if you report a problem.
- Never share your mobile money PIN or verification codes with anyone, including sellers or people saying they're from Bugufi.
- Be careful with requests to pay the full amount upfront to a number that isn't the shop's. Report it to us.
