Privacy

What we collect

• Buyers: name, mobile number, email address, district and delivery address; your order and messages with the shop; reviews and reports you write.
• Sellers: name, phone, email, password (stored encrypted), shop details and photos, and the products you list.
• On your device: your cart, favourites, recently viewed items and order links are stored in your browser, not on our servers, until you order.

Why we use it

• To pass your order and contact details to the shop you bought from, so they can deliver and agree payment with you.
• To send you codes, order updates and replies by email or SMS.
• To handle problem reports and keep the marketplace safe.

We don't use your data for advertising and we don't sell it.

Who sees it

The shop you order from sees your name, phone, email and delivery details for that order. Bugufi staff see them when needed to support you. Our email and SMS providers process messages on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for business records, then deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete other data sooner.

Your rights

Under Rwandan law you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Write to privacy@bugufi.rw and we'll reply within 30 days.
